Debi PylesTerm: to
Debi Pyles is serving her first term on the Board as trustee. She has a B.A. in Business Administration from Wayne State University. She has received the MASB Certified Board Member Award and the Merit Award. Debi also received a certificate as a Michigan ACE Community Champion Presenter. She is married and the proud mother of six.
Judy KennardTerm: to
Appointed to the Board of Education in November 2018 and is serving out a 4-year term. A Romulus Graduate that has completed doctorial Ph.D. coursework and has earned an MBA from Capella University, a Masters of Science in Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration degrees from Central Michigan University. Judy completed and received the MASB Level 1 – Master Board Member Award--2020. Ms. Kennard currently serves on the board policy subcommittee and previously served as President of the board in 2019. She is “Committed to ensuring a quality education for all students, an advocate of “Safe and High Performing Schools | Parent Enrichment Initiatives | Pathways to Skill Trade Jobs | Increasing S.T.E.M. Program.”
Denisa TerrellTerm: to
Denisa is serving in her first term on the Board and serves as secretary. She has obtained an M.B.A and B.A. from Spring Arbor University. She has also completed coursework towards her doctorate in business from Walden University and is currently completing her dissertation. Denisa has served as a trustee and chairperson for UAW Local 2500. She has three children who are proud graduates of Romulus Community Schools.
Ursula WesterTerm: to
Ursula Wester is serving her first term on the Board and serves as treasurer. She has a B.A. from Cornerstone University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Ursula works as a secretary at Tyler Elementary School and has worked in education in Romulus for many years. She and her husband have proudly raised their children in Romulus schools.
Nichole GermanTerm: to
Nichole German was appointed to the Board of Education in April 2021 and is in her first year as a Trustee. In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services from Michigan State University, she holds a Masters of Arts in both Elementary Education and Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Nichole is currently a principal in the River Rouge School District and has worked in education for 20 years. Her educational philosophy is that 'ALL Students Can Learn.' Students need a Community of Champions to meet their social, emotional, and academic needs, supplying them with instructional tools, exposure, care, and support.
