Good afternoon Romulus K-5 Families,

In order to provide our elementary students with enrichment, we prepared and mailed packets via the United States Postal Service for the last 2 weeks so that children could receive them at home.  Unfortunately, the USPS has been having processing issues and low employee turnout, which has affected their delivery service.  Because our students' learning is of utmost importance, we will return to packet pick-up service on (tomorrow) Thursday, May 7, 2020, from 10 am-12 pm at each elementary school. Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, packets will also be available for pick-up Monday through Wednesday in the front vestibule at each elementary.

Moving forward, the district is working with USPS to establish a custom process to make sure our students receive their enrichment activities in a timely manner. Once that system has been tested and proven, mailing packets will resume. We thank you for your patience and understanding in this most difficult time.  As a side note, eventually, you may receive packets in the mail for previous weeks. Please note that these are enrichment and practice for your child. Your child is not behind. Again, we thank you for being part of our Romulus Community Schools family. Together we will finish the school year strong, and we look forward to greater opportunities for the upcoming school year!
