Seventh-grade girls were able to attend 3 interactive workshops at WCCC on May 12, 2022. The workshops we attended were titled, Oxygen and Dead Zones and Lakes, The Secret Life of Trees, and Forensics to the Rescue. In the first session, students tested the oxygen in different samples and learned about the Great Lakes. The second session discussed the importance of mature trees, how to plant a tree so it will thrive, and the students were all given a tree to take home. The final session was about forensics. Students were able to dust for fingerprints and learn from a State Police Officer.
