Dear Families:

We hope that you and your families are doing well at this trying and uncertain time. We know that you have had many changes in your homes and lives. We have also had many changes in the education system. Everything is new to all of us. Never the less, we are working constantly to make sure that our students continue the learning process. We would like to express how much we appreciate how you as parents have continued to partner with us to educate our children during remote learning.

We would like to share some information that may address some of your questions regarding the end of the school year.

Virtual learning will continue until June 11, which means that teachers will continue to teach and assign work with the expectation that students will do their best to complete these assignments.

Report cards will indicate where your child was prior to the closing of schools which was the 3rd quarter. Third-quarter will have grades and comments. However, fourth-quarter report cards will have a statement regarding COVID 19. Therefore, no grades will be given for the 4th quarter. Report cards will be available on June 17, 2020, through Parent Portal. No paper copies will be mailed or picked up at the schools.

5th Grade Certificates:
Each elementary school is planning to create a video to honor our fifth-grade classes. We are committed to recognizing our fifth-grade students with a special and memorable ceremony.  Once plans are finalized, more information will follow.  If the Governor’s guidelines change, we will adjust our plan accordingly.

Student belongings pick up:
Each school will reach out to their parents concerning when and how you can pick up your child’s personal items.

2020-2021 School Year
We are working now to put together a plan that will keep our students safe and still learn. Including working with our students who have lost some instruction and need extra assistance. Stay tuned, we will have more information soon!

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact your building principal. Thanking you in advance for your continued support.
