LaToya has worked in Romulus Community Schools since 1998. She has worked as a special education teacher and guidance counselor at the high school and a middle school guidance counselor. She is a graduate from Wayne State University where she earned her B.S., M.A., and Education Specialist degrees. She is a MCBAP Certified Drug Alcohol and Tobacco Prevention Specialist (CPS), a state licenced professional counselor (L.P.C.) as well as a nationally certified counselor (N.C.C.). LaToya is currently the middle school department head, a district DELT (Diversity Equity Leadership Team) Co-Facilitator, a WEB Leader Co-Advisor , and Peer Mediation Co-Advisor. She enjoys and is committed to working with and supporting people of all ages to become the best version of themselves.
