Ursula Rogers
Term: 2023 to 2026
Ursula Rogers is currently serving her second term on the Board of Education and
proudly serves as Board Secretary. With more than a decade of experience in
education, she currently works as a Human Resource Specialist with Van Buren Public
Schools, where she is dedicated to supporting educators and strengthening school
communities through effective human resources practices.
Ms. Rogers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornerstone University and a Master
of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Her professional expertise,
combined with her passion for public service, provides a strong foundation for thoughtful
leadership and sound decision-making.
A lifelong advocate for children and families, Ursula has deep roots in the Romulus
community. In addition to raising her children in the district, she devoted 24 years to the
Romulus Flyers organization, mentoring and supporting countless young people
through athletics and community engagement. These experiences have given her a
meaningful understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing local students,
families, and educators.
As a member of the Board of Education, Ursula is committed to fostering student
achievement, supporting teachers and staff, and ensuring every child has access to a
high-quality education. She believes in transparent leadership, fiscal responsibility, and
collaborative decision-making that reflects the voices of the community. Her vision is to
strengthen the district through accountability, strategic investment, and a shared
commitment to the success and well-being of every Romulus student.
